To mobile or not to mobile?
The Daily Telegraph is attempting to whip up a bit of a campaign with its call to keep flights "mobile-free", claiming it has the support of MPs.
A number of airlines, including Ryanair, are looking at the possibility.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Sounds like simple progress in telecommunications and the desire for people to be connected all the time.
rubbish. i won't want to be sat next to some idiot wittering on during my flight.
they should have 'mobile zones' if anything.
JR and anonymous: Dina, in a comment on Travel Rants, says "sorry, it's not your private plane". which is a good point. but not sure if it will rub with those that have paid a lot of money for a flight.
Well, what with kids, movies, announcements etc, what does it matter if someone is wittering on next to you, just another distraction...and at least you could phone someone to complain.
Oh, I can't wait to turn on my mobile phone, and let everyone listen to that horrible frog mobile phone ringtune for 2 hrs on the flight.
